General Guidelines

1. General Instructions

All submissions must be written in English.
Submissions should be original and not previously published or under review elsewhere.
Authors may submit more than one abstract/poster, but only one will be considered for oral presentation (if applicable).
At least one author of each accepted submission must register and present during the conference.

2. Extended Abstracts

Format

Length: 1,000-1,500 words (excluding references).
File type: MS Word (.docx) or PDF.
Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, single-spaced, A4 size, 2.5 cm margins.
Structure:
1. Title (concise, max. 20 words)
2. Author(s) and Affiliation(s) and contact information
3. Abstract (200-250 words)
4. Keywords (3-5)
5. Introduction: Background, research objectives, and significance
6. Literature review: Theoretical framework or industry context
7. Methodology: Data collection and analysis
8. Results and Discussion: Key insights and relevance to the conference theme
9. Conclusions / Implications: Contributions to sustainability research and practice
10. References (APA 7th edition format, max. 10 sources)

Review and Acceptance

Submissions will undergo peer review for clarity, originality, and relevance to the conference themes. Accepted abstracts will be scheduled for oral or poster presentation.

3. Poster Presentations

Size: A0 (841 mm x 1189 mm), portrait orientation.
File type for submission: PDF (high resolution).
Content: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Introduction/Objectives, Methodology, Results (figures/tables/images), Discussion & Conclusions, Acknowledgments/References.
Design:
- Use legible fonts (minimum 24 pt for text, 40 pt for headings).
- Keep text concise; use visuals to highlight findings.
- Ensure contrast for readability.

Virtual Paper Presentation

Paper presenters attending virtually are required to submit and upload a maximum of 10-minute pre-recorded video of their paper presentation.
The video must be submitted to conference.info@cbsua.edu.ph on or before September 8, 2025.
Zoom will be used as the platform for participants joining through virtual presentation.
At least one week prior to the scheduled conference, a link will be sent for the virtual conference room that contains the connection information.
The presenter must join the meeting ahead of his scheduled time slot (i.e. 30 minutes early) in case there are any technical issues that need to be worked out.
The video must be in MP4 format.
The video should include the paper title and the author(s).
Email submission should follow the syntax in the Subject: ONLINE-Surname (e.g., ONLINE-De la Cruz)
The naming/syntax for the filename must follow this format:
- ONLINE-Surname_Title of Paper.mp4 (i.e. Cruz_Determinants of Profitability of Cacao Production.mp4)
Videos not received on or before the deadline date will be considered no-shows.

Selection of ICEEA 2025 Best Paper, Best Poster and Best Presenter

Best Paper

This competition shall be open to all presenters, both for the onsite and online participants.
Paper presenters vying for Best Paper are required to submit the full copy of their research paper.
The criteria for the Best Paper are the following:

1.	Contribution to scientific advancement	35%
2.	Relevance to global/regional development	25%
3.	Methodology	15%
4.	Content, structure and writing	25%
TOTAL		100%

A full copy of the research paper shall mean the inclusion of the following parts: Abstract, Introduction, Significance of the Study, Objectives, Methodology, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Recommendation and References
The e-copy of the full paper shall be sent by email at conference.info@cbsua.edu.ph on or before August 27, 2025
Email submission should follow the syntax in the subject : BEST PAPER ENTRY- Surname - AREA - Title of Research (i.e. BEST PAPER ENTRY - De la Cruz- AGRICULTURE - Determinants of Profitability of Cacao Production)
There shall be three winners, one each from the 3 categories: Education, Environment and Agriculture.
The decision of the panel of evaluators shall be considered final.
Announcement of winners shall be done on the day of the conference.
Winners shall receive a cash prize of US$ 90.00 each and Certificate of Recognition.

Best Presenter

All onsite presenters are qualified to join the Best Presenter category competition.
The presenter shall be given a maximum of 10 minutes to discuss his/her research paper
The criteria for the Best Presenter are the following:

1.	Significance of Findings	60%
2.	Methodology	25%
3.	Presentation	15%
TOTAL		100%

There shall be three winners, one each from the 3 categories: Education, Environment and Agriculture.

Best Poster

This competition shall be open to all onsite presenters/participants.
The poster should be in TARPAULIN, in portrait orientation and the size is 30 inches (width) x 42 inches (length)
The following are the guidelines for the poster:

It must include the abstract title, author and coauthor names, and the institution(s) where research is underway at the top of the poster.
Ensure the headline is visible from a distance of 4.5 to 6 meters.
Use fonts no smaller than size 16.
Design text to be easily readable from about 2 meters away.
Choose text and background colors that provide strong visual contrast.
Limit the use of abbreviations and complex mathematical symbols.
Summarize your research by including elements such as: problem statement, objectives of the study, research methods, findings, key visuals, and data representations.
Structure your content into clear sections (e.g., Intro, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and Literature Cited (avoid too many citations)). Consider using numerical labels for easy navigation. Keep citations to a minimum.
Opt for bold, straightforward visuals. Incorporate vibrant colors to highlight important details.
Aim for concise content. A poster with fewer than 800 words is optimal.
Let impactful graphics take center stage on your poster.

The criteria for the Best Poster are the following:

2. Appearance & Clarity 25%
3. Creativity 15%
TOTAL 100%
Winners shall receive a cash prize of 1st - US$90; 2nd - US$70; and 3rd - US$50.
